Hands down the main reason I bought my first Malibu. Before I got my first Malibu I had another brand of kayak and the whole time I was fishing I wished that I could bring my son with me. So after doing some research I decided on a Malibu kayak and a Gator Hatch. The days that my son and I spent fishing are priceless for me, and I hope they are unforgettable for him.

I have this hatch on my stealh 12 and 14 and wouldnt trade it for the world, it doesnt have the bulk of the high back gator hatch and I can still take my neice out whenever she wants and I dont have to worry about her, she sits tight and enjoys the ride!! I would def recommend getting this hatch for younger kids to older kids that arent just ready to go out alone!

The gator hatch is an awesome lid for the hatch of your Stealth. Its also an excellent upgrade option for the Pro Explorer, Extreme, and X-factor. The bungees on the front make a great paddle holder, while keeping the paddle within reach and easily accessible. The seat is built for a child but I have put a 150lb female on the front and paddled 1/4 mile with no problems, and the hatch supported the weight.

The gator hatch is an awesome accessory. It's perfect for children or small adults to sit on. Plus it has the option of mounting flush rod holders on it for the person on the front to use if they are fishing. The bungees add for more storage that we can all use. It also makes the kayak look great with the nice sleek look to it. If you already have a Malibu kayak with a front hatch, upgrade to this hatch and you will be glad you did!
