The Magpul MOE Commercial-Spec Model Carbine Stock is a drop-in replacement butt-stock for AR15/M16 carbines that's designed for light and fast action.  Made to work with commercial-spec sized receiver extension tubes, the stock's streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation. The extra-powerful lock mechanism uses a premium chrome-silicon lock spring for positive locking that averts auto-collapse failure and resists spring relaxation. This stock also includes a removable, extended 0.55'' rubber butt-pad to provide positive shoulder purchase and accommodates the longer, slanted back common to most commercial-spec tubes. The stock's sloping cheek weld combines a slim profile with user comfort, while side mounting slots accept optional cheek risers for NON-AR15/M16 applications. Compatible with Magpul ASAP and other receiver-mount sling attachments. Made in USA.

A:
No, you have to buy the MIL-SPEC version, as the buffer tube size for S&W AR-15 variants is larger and needs the MIL-SPEC type.

Staff Answer
A:
According to the manufacturer with the S&W M&P 15-22 the fit of stocks can vary due to the fact that the buffer tube on them is molded into the receiver and is made out of plastic there for the fit can vary. S&W puts Mil-spec stocks on all their weapons, so you can use a commercial-spec stock in the weapon and it will function. They have seen Mil-spec stocks fit tight and commercial-spec stocks good and have seen commercial-spec stocks fit loose and Mil-spec fit good, just there is too much variance in the tubes to say what one will fit the best. In short you should be able to fit the commercial-spec stock on your rifle but can’t say how the fit will be.

I hope this helps. Thanks
