Natural baits are best and Magic's Preserved Baby Shad Baits are perfect for going after the big ones. The addition of anise fish-attracting scent makes the Magic Preserved Baby Shad baits ideal for tough conditions. These Preserved Shad Baits are conveniently packed in a re-sealable laminated pouch and don't require refrigeration so they can be safely stored in tackle boxes. A 4-oz. package contains approximately 14 baits measuring roughly 3" to 3-1/2" in length. Color: Natural. Made in USA.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Get a net!!! For the price of 5 bags, you can buy a bait net and have infinite FRESH shad. I tried these after It started to cool down this year and the shad schools moved out to deeper water. Given these temps do slow fish feeding habits, I was still catching/getting more hits on some frozen shad cuts that I caught earlier this fall. Next year I will be Freezing more Shad ahead of time! The only upside to these is the convienence of being able to toss them in the tackle box. November 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Baby Shad I used these as bait on the Redondo Beach pier (ocean fishing) at night and caught 3 fish in one hour. I was there for about 3 hours total. Maybe i did not use the bait the way it was intended but hey i got some action. By the way my friends were using muscles and they didn't catch a thing. July 25, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Its not very good i decided to try these because i have seen them all over. i bought a pack and went to a spillway . i didnt get any bites at all. the reason i rated it a two is because i didnt have enough weight on my bait to let it hit the bottom. i dont really know if that would have mattered tho. Rated 1 out of 5 by was not impressed don't bother with this stuff, didn't catch a fish out of the whole package. P.S. best channel catfish bait ever is cut blue gill, just use the back strips and soak them in a little katjuice if you have any. July 1, 2009
