I bought this bait after reading a few reviews that said this product works great. I have used it several times and haven't got one bite yet. I will search for some other type of catfish bait next time.

I have catfished the Illinois River and the surrounding waters my entire life. I was excited to try this bait because of the convienence of keeping it in it's own bait dish and being able to leave it in the tackle box, any catfisherman knows fishing for whiskers can be a messy and smelly addiction. I fished the waters really heavy last year and gave this bait an ample opportunity to perform; so let me tell ya about just one week last summer where there was some good catfishing going on and you be the judge and decide if you want to try this bait. I had my catfish rigs all set up and the whiskers were hitting great on dead minnows, worms, and stink bait. I was even catching catfish on my crappie rig with a bobber; so needless to say the whiskers were hitting. Folks I could NOT get a catfish to even go near this bait, not even a nibble! I tried for days to give it a real chance too with this bait and not even one hit! I would switch over to stink bait cast in almost the same spot and get hits, I tried over and over switching back and forth all week. I would put on dead minnows then worm then stinkbait and get hits then I would try this bait and get nothing but as soon as I would switch back to my other bait they would start hitting again. You be the judge of that, according to the other reviews it might work well there but in central Illinois where the catfish are everywhere it did NOT work out so well.

this is the best bait ive ever used. one time i even only put half on the hook and still caught a 4 pound catfish. I will always use this bait its the best

actually works with channel cats, even bass. Went to the lake and caught a lot of fish. do not buy anything else. I bought the liver, so try that

Will these work ok on a normal treble hook? or should I use the trebles with springs on them to keep the bait on?
