if used properly these are as good as gold. i've used these for nearly a decade tipping my jigs when fishing for sauger in the Ohio River and tributaries. of course there is nothing like a live fathead or creek chub, but these increase my bites by a good bit compared to a plain jig head and twister.
sure beats carring a minnow bucket up and down the rip-rap at dam tailraces. and better than reaching down in that fridged cold water in said minnow bucket on a cold winters day.

I can't believe all of the complaints...but I can understand them...misuse...using them for catfishing?NO WAY!...
This is like buying a 1" paint brush, attempting to use it to paint a barn and then complaining that it didn't work very well.
Run a shad needle through these, toss them out under a bobber during the white bass spring run in an Iowa river and you will catch fish like carazy.
These are a cross between live and fake bait...better than fake..but not as good as live...but way more convenient than live.
Best application is running water where you would normally us minnows under a bobber. Extremely durable and you'll catch many fish before you'll need a new one.
