i love this stuff. i used just about every kind of the magic bait. the shrimp and blood work best 4 me. i even caught bass with the craw fish kind when i was pulling in my line to make sure it was still there prolly cause it smells like a craw fish u need to mash it real good around your hook so it dont fly off when u cast but other then that its a great cat fish bait

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1memfish1 Great bait if you put it on correctly
This bait is great!! i use the liver and cheese and they sometimes hammer this stuff. It will come off the hook if you 1.) dont use a weight with it!!!!this is the most important thing to success when using this bait!!!you MUST do that!! 2.) hook 2 pieces of dough together 3.) bring the dough around the eye of the hook. 4.) you can also buy hooks with springs (Bill Dance spring treble hooks) this helps alot. 5.) hold on tight!!!!

I have used this stuff since I was a kid fishing strait down on the old boat docks 15 years ago. I would tear up this fish with this stuff. But casting it was very difficult because it would fall off the hook. But thanks to the new Spring Treble Hooks this bait is now back in the tackle box for channel cats. If you are using the spring treble hooks you can cast this stuff over a 100 yards and it will not fall off. I use the Great Scott Cheese flavor for small lakes ponds that don't have shad populations and Whopper Shad Dough for large lakes and rivers. Make sure after you put this stuff on the hook to soak your bait for 5 seconds to set the dough.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Burks Not worth the effort.
I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this because it just isn't a good bait for me.
- Falls off easily
- Fish ignore it
- Often is "stale" on the shelf
That's about it. No reason for a long review. I would not recommend this as there are other baits in the same price range that far out perform this bait, lasts longer, and stays on the hook.
