Rated 5 out of 5 Crappie All day!! Put a couple of these on a 1/32 or 1/16 ounce jig head with a white grub and the slabs will pile up! This was the first time using these and it was a game changer!!!! March 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by catches more fish I fish for crappie in the midwest and started using Crappie Bites in the spring. I do feel that using jigs tipped with a piece of this bait gets more bites than without the bait. I recommend it for year-round use for catching more crappies. October 25, 2011

A:
Rather than adding water (this will turn the entire jar into one big pile of slimy goo), put the remaining crappie bites in a zip lock bag with a fresh piece of bread. In about 24 hours, the crappie nibbles should soften enough to use.

Color should be determined by water clarity and sky conditions rather than geographic location. Here is a great article on determining color for crappie: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...
