The Mag Charger Rechargeable Flashlight System features the durable 5D cell Mag-Lite flashlight made of tempered aluminum alloy. The charger delivers a constant current from 10-18V DC or 110/12V AC sources to the new 5-cell Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery pack. This new pack design offers 34% more capacity than the pack it replaced, giving you longer runtimes, faster recharging rates, and a more environmentally friendly product. The Mag Charger includes an LED indicator and detachable bracket mounts in any position. System includes flashlight, Ni-Cad battery stack, mounting bracket, charger and converters. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wingnut30 No more dead batteries I've had my Mag Charger for about 3 years and still love it. I was sick and tired of always grabbing a flashlight and it being dead. I no longer have that problem (as long as the kids don't play with it and leave it off charge). This light is brighter than regular Maglites. It uses a halogen bulb which was a little harder to find at your local stores. My normal use is about an hour when doing chores in the winter. I have used it successfully for 3 plus hours of constant use. The light is pricey but alkaline battereis aren't cheaper either. December 12, 2010

It has a DC and AC charger, so I just hard wired it into my console, and I have a long lasting light that is very durable and dependable. The charging bracket holds the light well, even in a moving vehicle. Same strong case and lens that comes standard with the Mag name. May 19, 2008

This is a complete system. The light that comes with it is different than a regular maglite. The mag charger uses a rechargeable battery pack and a halogen bulb. The battery remains in the light and charges through the light housing. The package also comes with both AC and DC connections that can be used on the charging station. the bulb is also brighter than the standard maglites.

How long is this flashlight?

Details:

My husband saw a flashlight, I believe in Bass Pro, that is rechargeable and also very long, like the kind police carry! He said it was actually longer than that. Is this the flashlight he is talking about?

The Streamlight Stinger and poly stinger are only about 8 inches long. Law enforcement officers as well as our military carry these flashlights for a few reasons, they are very durable, very bright, and the rechargeable battery & bulb last a long time! I've had mine for over 3 years and just replaced the bulb! I use it daily at work, and take it with me on hunting/fishing trips. Even though it's not a big monster flashlight, it's the best you can get for the money.
