Burns well, sturdy design but can be a bit unsteady. Pot holders need to be flatter instead of only touching pots by a point. I still would recommend for price and ease of use/size.

I have had my pocket rocket for 2 years now. I love it! I like simple practical products. That is definately what the pocket rocket is. It's easy to use, the canisters last a long time. I got something like 9 or 12 boils out of one canister at 11,000 ft. Some of those were in the rain. I thought I lost it recently and was devastated! I was litteraly headed out the door to buy a new one when my wife found it stuffed behind my pack in the closet.
Buy one!

This stove is the best!!! I recently went on a 6 day excursion with a friend and my pit bull in Michigan's UP. After 6 days of use including boiling water for food(breakfast and dinner, plus bevarages), this useful tool also helped getting a campfire started during a very wet situation. We only used ONE fuel canister!! Extremely lightweigt and very easy to use. The fuel canisters are rather inexpensive as well. Just make sure you keep the stove unit in the case while hiking.

I recently started backpacking and dont have a lot of spare cash for the real expensive stuff. After researching some options and listening to some others talk about their stoves i decided to go with the pocket rocket. This stove does everything i need it to and is much smaller and lighter than my other stove. I usually eat Mountain House or other freeze dried foods and need only to boil a few cups of water for a meal. I can boil 3 cups of water in under 3 minutes with the pocket rocket. Stability is only a small issue and not worth worrying over.
