They make a steel and large lead kit for mec presses. The steel master doesn't need it but I beleive the rest of the presses would require the kit if your dropping larger lead. I have never had an issue with #6's without the kit on my finkiy 650 . With #5/4's I have had them hang up and a smack usually fixes the hang up. With the steel large lead kit I loaded up a few hundred rounds of. 5/4's with various bars. Not a single hiccup from what was a very finiky 650 that's older then I am. I just picked up an almost new 650 but haven't had a chance to try it. I've been using the one press since I was a little kid and with newer or older bars it hung up with large shot. I was really impressed that the simple parts in the steel/large lead kit fixed the issue. My recommendation would be try it and if their is an issue by the kit for your press.
