MAD Hyper Growl Deer Call
Reed seems to freeze
I really like the concept of this call but it doesn't hold up to the expectations I had for it. After a good snort wheeze the reed is frozen and the next time you try to use the grunt it comes out a super high pitch squeal and there is no way to get it back to normal besides blowing into it and most likely scaring every deer within ears reach away. After one or two high pitch squeals it becomes a nice throaty grunt again but not worth it. After many hours of trying to find different ways to blow into it to avoid this, and 2 times out in the field it became the most expensive dust collector I have.

I have used this call the last two years and have been pleased and satisfied with the performance and results. The snort n wheeze sure gets their attention. Good call to add to your bag of tricks.

Best purchase ever
Brings in bucks as well as does. Early in firearm season had a doe moving away from me through a thicket. Decided to try the call and she turned and trotted down to me I dropped her and noticed another doe running away so I tried the call again and she ran down and I dropped her also. Had several small bucks come in on the call also. Have lots of confidence in the call and highly recommend it.

Looks good, sounds bad...
I've been using MAD Calls for a long time, and this has to be the worst call in their line. The sound is to high pitch, it sounds like a party whistle, and it takes to much air to roll over. When the call works, I cant get the deep guttural tones of a mature buck, or the subtle pops, clicks, and grunts from the original Buck Growl. I thought this was to be an improvement on an already great call. I guess this is what happens when you keep fixing something until its broke.
