My son’s Super Aluminator Pot Friction Turkey Call is the best tool we have in our bag of tricks to date. I have called allot of birds in with this call. My son and I took a couple youth boys’ and their dad turkey hunting last spring during our youth turkey season on public land. The first morning we were setting there and heard the birds on the roost calling so I gave out a couple yelps and got quiet until they flew down off the roost. Once they were down I started with the fly-down call and then into the locating calls. After about an hour and a half we noticed that the gobbles were getting farther and farther away. We all gathered around each other. We started talking about plan “B”. We had mouth calls in our mouths and were showing the boys’ how to call with them and showing them how to place them in their mouths. Then I got a box call out and started showing them how it worked. We still had not had anything to answer us yet. I took out the crystal friction call I have and started showing them how it sounded and still no answer. I looked at my son said however, this aluminator always seems to do the trick, and called a few yelps and all of a sudden turkeys gobbled about 40 yards away from us. We scattered as if a bomb went off and about three more calls one of the boys’ got to shoot his first bird and it was a 9 ½ “ bearded gobbler. See picture. We tried the rest of the day to get the other boy on one and he was able to shoot at one but he missed. The next day we took the other boy out and he was able to get his first bird also. Both birds were called in with the Super Aluminator Pot Friction Turkey Call. I really cannot say anything bad about this call. We went six times and killed five birds in all. Three gobblers and two jakes. It was a great year. We plan to take a couple more youths again this year. As a matter fact that’s what I’m doing right now looking up what it’s going to cost me for another one to put in my gear and give my son’s back to him.
