Great box call. Bought as a replacement for a call I broke on the opener (redhead rtx multi-piece call). They no longer offer that call & its a shame, the other rtx solid call was out of stock so decided to give this one a try. Glad I did. Great volume with very realistic sound. Got those gobblers all fired up.
Was unsure about the poplar box at first, but it sure makes a pretty sound. No uncertainty with poplar now. Definitely made the box lighter.
The only downside I found was that the screw holding paddle on started to back out as I was using call. Fixed with a little dab of wood glue in the hole. Let dry then put screw back in. Luckily found this out while practicing at home before the hunt.
