Wounded baitfish action triggers monster strikes.

The Fin-S Shad softbait triggers strikes by darting erratically and popping through the surface like a fleeing shad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Schooling Fish Bait This is one of my favorite baits for throwing when the fish are schooling, add a pinch on weight to get it through the smaller fish at the top and it is simply awesome fishing December 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great lure Purchased this fin S lure and was the only one catching fish. I had a slab crappie of 13 inches and 10 in her and numerouse 8 inchers. .No other fisherman caught anything. The lure has great action and can not be fished wrong... Thankyou Bass Pro November 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Effective panfish bait I began using the 1 3/4" Fin S Shad this spring. Using on a 1/16oz or 1/8 oz jig with size 6 or sz 4 hooks, they have been effective for white bass, crappie, bluegill, and even several walleye. Colors that produced best were albino shad, alewife, and Arkansas shad. This spring, we had clear, low water, and the Arkansas shad was best in that situation (better than Kalin and PowerBait Minnow). Very reliable, and more durable than PowerBait Minnow. May 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by fin-s-shad This product is great..best jig i ever used for crappies and bass..Can't go wrong. April 30, 2012

I have used the 1 3/4" and 3 1/4" FinS Shad. They do not have a slot in the belly.

A:
No hook slot, but you do not need one. Slide the hook from the nose, through the middle of the body. Push the hook out through the back about where the dorsal fin would be. Make sure the hook comes out in the middle of the back so it will swim correctly.
