Wounded baitfish action triggers monster strikes.

The Fin-S Shad softbait triggers strikes by darting erratically and popping through the surface like a fleeing shad.
Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fin-S shad I have used the Fin-S Shad for many years. When you see the result you get, you will never use any other bait for Crappie. I use a 1/64th ounce jig head with 2lbs. test line when shooting docks. This is the best slow falling combination I have every used. Four pound test and a 1/32nd ounce head is also a killer combination. The Fin-S Shad is very versitile. You will never need any other type bait for Crappie. Smelt, Ice Shad, Rainbow Trout are all excellent colors. Unbeleivable Bait! December 31, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too much plastic This is an interesting lure, but requires some weight to get it down. The hook has to ride high on top, otherwise you'll miss the hookset. Wayyyy too much plastic on this thing. I'll stick with the Slug-go. August 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Bait! These soft baits are great for drawing monster bass strikes. They have excellent action on a jig-head or darting around the surface June 1, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fin-S Shad I have used this product in the past and it still is a great fish catching lure. It can be fished on a jighead or in shallow water on an exposed offset shank wide gap hook. May 17, 2011

I have used the 1 3/4" and 3 1/4" FinS Shad. They do not have a slot in the belly.

A:
No hook slot, but you do not need one. Slide the hook from the nose, through the middle of the body. Push the hook out through the back about where the dorsal fin would be. Make sure the hook comes out in the middle of the back so it will swim correctly.
