  • Versatile, multi-species spoons
  • Narrow shape and heavyweight design
  • Stamped and formed from solid brass
  • Plated with corrosion-resistant chrome
Lure Jensen's Krocodile Spoons are very versatile, multi-species spoons that are perfect for any fish on the lookout for a flashing, wobbling meal. The Krocodile Spoon's narrow shape and heavyweight design works to create a bold combination of thumping vibration and flashing attraction. Krocodile Spoons are stamped and formed from solid brass, buffed and then plated with corrosion-resistant chrome making them suitable for both fresh and saltwater applications. Sizes 1/6 oz. through 5/8 oz. are rigged with split rings, swivel, a Red magic flipper tail, and an extra Siwash hook in the package. Sizes 3/4 oz. and larger are rigged with welded rings, swivel, and treble hook.
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Old Standard All sizes and colors perform well for different applications. I have been using these for years and, with all the new fancy lures available these days, I still end up snapping a Krocodile on the line sometime during the fishing day. May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Krocodile Smile We own many brands of lures. Most are very good. A few are excellent. Krocodile is one of the excellent. We primarily fish the Eastern Sierra. Krocodile lures will catch fish weather trolling or casting. Last fall I fished Panguitch Lake in Southern Utah. I got a late start, somewhere around 10:00 am. I was told that the bite was slow. I did not see many bent rods. I dropped anchor and cast a Krocodile. First cast, fish on! I have no idea how many cutthroats I caught and released. Other fishermen weren't as busy as was I with my Krocodiles. Krocodiles were the only lures I used on that trip; they were the only lures I had to use! Krocodiles will catch fish. I recommend them without reservation. March 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by good casting lure works well for corvina and halibut , usually in hammered chrome and chrome and blue January 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Krocodile gold spoon, best spoon I ever fished wit I started fishing with the Krocodile gold spoon about 12 years ago and have loved it ever since. I have caught the majority of many redfish on the gold Krocodile as well as many spotted sea trout. I have also used it to find and catch flounder by slow retrieving it around flounder habitat, they will absolutely slam it. I mainly use the 1/4 oz size but I change the hook to a larger size red treble hook sometimes with a feather or deer hair tied on or of late I have been using a single red #4 circle hook with great results, in fact I caught 12 redfish yesterday afternoon after work. Great bait, I love it and hope that it will show up in the tackle stores better than it has lately. I just ordered 10 from Bass Pro Shops and they had to be back ordered. thanks May 26, 2012

A:
We use these casting from beaches in the Sea of Cortez frequently. They work well if allowed to sink to bottom, then retrieved with occasional jerks, catches sierra, corvina, halibut and cabrilla

Yes, use the 3/8 or 1/2 oz size in gold or silver, change speeds of retrieve until desired results are accomplished.

The half ounce should serve you well. River and lake trout will also attack this lure, so the half ounce is also versatile. Good fishing!

A:
The rules are simple: match lure size to the forage of your target and if fishing is slow or dead go to smaller size spoons. For trolling, you would choose the lighter 3/4- or 1-oz. size. Ory try 1/2 to 3/4 oz.

I'd go for the half ounce size: It is versatile enough for stock trout, steelhead, salmon and smallmouth bass. I believe it also has the best action for cast and retrieve applications. All of the patterns and colors are productive depending upon fishing conditions, water depth and clarity...

these are great for all trout, but the hybrid tiger trout really hit these. I like the 3/8 in hammered chrome.
