I've been using the Speed Trap for years with excellent results. I would give it a five star rating but the hook quailty is poor. I always change out the hooks and have caught several 4 to 6 pound bass using it.

Last fri I fished the CA Delta with a crawdad colored Speed trap and caught a pb 9 1/2 lber. Also caught a 7lber and a 5. I had a 26lb 5 fish limit, all caught on the speed trap. Great lure and will always have a place in the boat.

this lure is perfect for my type of fishing. i like to troll it out of my little kayak and it runs perfect. i have already caught 2 bass over 3 lbs and one pike around 4lbs

I've fished this speed trap in 3 different states in the past month and have caught a limit of bass on each trip. I've won 3 checks in 2 weekends using this same lure. I LOVE IT..

well the best answer i can tell you is MATCH THE HATCH! i have heard that said time and time again where ever u are fishing match the color of your bait to the color of the bait fish that are in the lake ot pond u are fishing at if there are bluegill in the lake and the bass are feeding on those use a bluegill color and so forth MATCH THE HATCH!!!Q:Â

I want a square bill or coffin lip lure that has very hard side-to-side vibrating action. Any suggestions?

The speed trap, or kvd square bill will do fine. Also, if you can find them the balsa wood baits will always produce the best wobble.

Try the bait KVD used to win this years classic, Silent Stalker and the Rattling Squarebill in the 5/8 size made by Strike King. I just bought the Black Back Chartreuse and would of bought the Bluegill pattern but it was out of stock. Good quality and not outragously priced.

not really a true square bill but yes it does deflect off the structer and these lures have great action i catch a ton of fish on these

Yes it deflects very well of tree limbs and boat dock cover. Even rocks and other hard structure...
