One of the most unique and devastatingly effective trolling lures ever invented. The Luhr Jensen® Rattlin' J-Plug Lure never trolls the same track twice, thanks to its free-sliding swivel chain which constantly shifts within the head chamber when on the move. Realistic looking, brilliant finish is perfect for deep-water trolling.

YES, they do glow! I've been using the J-plugs for about two years and have had excellent results( including a 43.2 pound king salmon) with them.I'm not really sure what the other reviewer is talking about, because the everglow colors certainly do glow. January 25, 2011
Glow? I ordered a 4" Luhr Jensen #88 Flourescent green GLOW J-plug in early December. It was promptly delivered February 21st. Seems glow is all the rage for salmon and trout these days so I figured I'd get in on the action. Problem is, the glow, or as it states on the packaging "Glow in the dark EVERGLOW" doesn't glow. At all. I charged it under a 60 watt bulb for 5 minutes to check it out, went into a walk in closet and turned out the lights, man was it dark in there. The lure may work on it's own merits, the green is highly visible in daylight and it rattles. Just don't buy this thing if you're looking for incandescence. February 23, 2007

This is a great choice for a Largemouth Bass. This lure is for that. For Pike it should be alright. I have alligator gars around where I live and they basically go after anything you throw in the water.
