Got this Luhr for my husband. He loves it. He has hooked more steelhead with this , than any other. All I hear now is FISH ON . I will get him more for his birthday. The bad thing about it all is having to let the fish go.

I'm a big fan of Luhr Jensen Kwikfish and usually use K15's and K16's to back troll for Kings and have been quite successful in doing so. The little K-9's have, as of yet, have not produced a Steelhead, but based on their action in the water I'm confident it is just a matter of time.

Extreme Kwikfish K-9, Rainbow Trout color. I used this lure in several Montana lakes and rivers and the White River in AR. It caught Bull, Cuts, Rainbows, Browns and Brook trout with amazing consistancy. The K-9 is plenty big enough to cast, and was productive by deep-water casting, slow-working shallow water, and slipping across a stream. I bounced it off a rock in the White, cracking the body and ruining the action. I just ordered six more. Work the bait very slowly, and if you don't get any strikes, slow it down. Great lure!

I had one of these lures as a kid. I never caught so many fish on any other lure. When I went to my favorite fishing spots this was my fist cast, and soon after my first fish of the day, When fish were not biting, I knew what would get me one in the net. I lost my lure to a snag at the river. I never knew the name or the lure or manufacture. I told my son so many stories about my old lure. Now I finally found it! After years without one, my stringers are finally full again. This is not just for the big game fish. I catch A LOT of bass on these, black bass, small and large mouth. My first trip out with my long lost friend, I didn't have a scale but the large mouth was just shy of 23 inches. My tackle box is whole again. ;)

the k-9 goes 4-7 feet, depending on how much line and speed work the lureA:Â
Depends upon how fast you pull it and where you position your rod tip. Rod tip high with a slow retreive will fish about 4' minimum. (It likes to dive.) Rod tip down with a medium retreive will easily fish 10'.1 of 1
