i purchased this lure in "Pearl Ayu" after watching a buddy of mine pull around two-dozen smallmouths out of the river with it one day. this lure probably works great as-is, but i did swap the middle hook for a red one, and also replaced the rear one with a dressed hook. (the same thing my buddy had done)

these baits are great in spring and fall, the 3 hooks seems to really hold the fish on and the 97 casts great and doesn't have a big splash( great for tossing under docks)

Hands down ,the best there is ,from the super sharp daiichi hooks to the "magic scale" finish these baits are fish catching machines! Well worth the money do yourself a favor and fish one!

Found some schooling bass feeding on shad. I actually snagged several shad due to the good sharp hooks on this bait. The color of the bait was exact compared to the shad and caught lots of fish on it. It cast good in the wind compared to other jerkbaits.
