I bought 5 of these Scrounger Jigs and they are useless.They first one I used twisted my line so bad I had to quit using that reel because the line was in knots.Bass Pro should refund my money as much as I spend there.Don't buy this product.

Took a couple of these to Irondeqouit Bay & Sodus Bay in upstate NY, my brother had not seen them used before. He didn't think they would produce up north since I live in Atlanta, well the 1st fish I caught on this lure was about 3lbs, he was still not convinced, by the 4th fish, I was reaching into my tackle bag to hand him one. Cast it out, if there is any type of plant life in the water, snap it free & they hammer it on the release. Running it along a weed line or drop off or ledge & you will have some success. Practice it & figure out what works best for you, but they do produce quality fish.....

Now jigs are specialized. Swim jigs are made for swimming. Other jigs are made for flipping. Different jigs for different types of fishing.

i would go with the swim jig but it is your way of fishing that counts if you are getting fish on the swim jig i would stay with it but i'm a jig fisher so i have all types of jigsQ:Â

I have just the scrounger jig heads, can I just add a skirt to these and make my own swim jig

If I were you I would skip the skirt I have bought 4 of these and it seems as if the "wooble" is subdued by the skirt. Just keep the original scrounger and rig it with a fluke.
