Luck-E-Strike Perfect Worm Rig
This rig will replace the bullet weight and offset hook Texas rig that I've used for years. I think I have a better feel with the jighead affixed to the worm, and I like the long EWG hook, and the long straight piece below the weight serves as an excellent keeper and brings the hook further down the worm. Mostly I've used them with 7" Berkeley power worms in rivers for smallmouth bass. The rig slips through wood and rocks perfectly. I'd imagine it would also be great in weeds in ponds and lakes, but I'm mostly concerned about throwing into a pile of wood and pulling out a fat smallie or spotted bass. Very pleased, I've ordered a bunch.
One aspect of river fishing is minimizing the tackle you carry, and a snap is often used to alternate baits, because it's impractical to have more than one rod. In such cases, it is more convenient to carry this rig, rather than cut off the snap and put on a bullet weight each time you want to throw a worm.

These are great for use with any plastic worm, lizard, stickbait, or creature bait. They are durable and provide excellent hooking. A black one with a black Swimming Senko is my Go To bait when the bite is tough. It has produced a lot of bass for me. A green one, with a Junebug colored Brush Hog, used as a flipping lure, caught a 9 1/2 lb. bass.

This weighted worm hook is great if you want to keep your rigs simple. Just slide on a plastic worm (I use 4” Yamamoto Senkos rigged weedless), tie on your line, and cast a country mile. I use a slow retrieve along the shallows and bring in the bass & panfish all day long. I recently stocked up on these - all of my buddies were stealin' them!

These are the best for throwing beavers in the grass. They come through well and the hooks are stout enough to drag fish through the weeds without bending. The smaller ones, not so much. Use the smaller ones for smallie beavers but be careful around a lot of thick stuff. I lost a big fish trying to drag it through. So far so good.
