I've only used the Shakey Tail for drop shotting, but it is the most effective lure in my arsenal, it will catch fish when nothing else will. The one negative I would mention is that they get shredded after a few cathes.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by 1memfish1 GREAT BAIT!
this soft plastic caught me my first bass in memphis, and ive tried many different lures. It is very soft and flexible, and has a lot of action on a shakey head. the durability lacks though, but it definately pays off!

this lure works great texas rigged, the paddle like tail adds water displacement, and it also makes it effective on a jig and carolina rig.

You can do texas rig, shakey, drop shot. Anything you'd do with a 4" worm. I like to use a standup presentation or shakey as it is fairly buoyant and has a good tail action.Color depends on the water clarity. The "rough green" and "egyptian green" are good when you need some color for cloudy water, the pumpkin is always a good choice, and colors # 7,8,9, and 13 are good realistic "match the hatch" colors for pressured fish or clear water.

I recently used this bait on a 1/8 oz. dart head exposing the hook . I let the bait go to the bottom , rested it a few seconds then picked it up and pulled quickly about 3-4 ft. then repeated again . The worm has a nice swimming action and I was able to catch 2 small keepers . I was using the 06 Mohave color . I was happy with the bait considering we (2) had only 3 bites the entire day and 2 came on this worm .1 of 1
