Lowrance/Eagle Transducers - Transom Mount
Design Needs Improvement
Nobody likes to spend money on a new transducer. The plastic neck portion on these is a weak spot and I wish Lowrance would improve the design and make it more robust. I only got one season out of my original transucer before it broke requiring replacements. Not only is it dissappointing to have to bear the extra cost but replacing this on my boat is a couple hours of work as I have mine routed internally. I tried to repair the old one with superglue but that didn't work. I have friends that have the same experience.

If you are looking for a great transducer especially for you guys that fish vertically you need to give this transducer a try, you will be very pleased. I have used them all and I am an avid tourneyment fisherman. This product will up your game, its like playing a video game watching your lure drop on the the fish you are trying to catch and watching the fish come up the screen and taking your bait. Match it up with any Lowrance LCX, or HD unit and I know you will be pleased.

I bought a new transducer for my existing eagle fish finder. Was a little worried when I got it, because the plug was not quite the same as old one. I called Lorence/Eagle they asured me that it was the right one. I pro ceded to put it on. I finally got a chance to try it out today. It works great, everything I expected out it was spot on! Could not ask for an better job. So easy to do, even though I have a pontoon.

Quality Control ??
Lowrance / Eagle may be developing some QC issues at their Mexican manufacturing facilities! I have use their products for years without problems, but this trend has changed; most recent problem is with inaccurate temperate reading and a fuzzy screen image from a transducer for a Lowrance 522 unit. I replaced transducer and problems were resolved. Also, other fishing buddies are having temperature problems!
