With all three of these features disabled, I usually get over a full days battery life, and if I go on shorter fishing trips, I often get three trips on one charge.
Which Fish Finder do you recemmend for a fishing kayak?
It's weak point, and unfortunately it is a major one, is the connector design. ie. the connection between the display and the battery/transducer. If you intend to remove the display from your kayak in between fishing trips, you will soon discover what I'm referring to.
The male connection port on the display contains flimsy pins which align with a series of holes in the female connector which is attached to the battery/transducer lead. Because of the need for the connectors to remain waterproof, they fit together very tightly and if the pins and holes are not aligned correctly (which can be difficult in low light situations or if your hands are cold), the pins bend easily and may even snap off. The limited warranty will not cover you for this eventuality and Lowrance do not repair damage to the connection port as it is uneconomical to do so (ie. for them of course).
