Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to install and operate After purchasing this LCR, I literally had it installed and operational in less than an hour. I would highly recommend using the booklet that comes with the LCR to step by step set up for your type of fishing. I have had many LCR's in my 55 plus years of fishing and this one without doubt is one of the finest ones I've purchased. A very good product for the money, I would recommend it to anyone. Rated 2 out of 5 by Disapointed re Lowrance Mark-5x Pro Fishfinder Won't find the bottom past 305ft, which is not that great an issue except in deeper water the finder thinks my downrigger weight is the bottom. Also during and afternoon of trolling didn't mark one fish beyond 15ft. which is odd considering I would normally mark several fish down to 120ft with my old Lowrance. October 21, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Product Good product for the price. Wish it would be in color for a few more dollars but what can you expect for 159.00. It is a good unit. October 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Great Value Works as advertised. Had no problems installing. Great price... June 27, 2013

The Fishfinders we offer on our web site are made for the US and do not have an option to change to metric. For international units, please refer to Lowrance: http://www.lowrance.com/Dealer-Locator/. Thanks

I fish the Missouri river which is very muddy.
I tried the Mark 5x DSI and it was useless.
It had no sensitivity adjustment which could compensate for the muddy water. There was so much sonar noise on the screen it was unreadable. I confirmed this with their tech support.

Need to know if the "Mark 5x pro" has a sensitivity adjustment. The manual includes several models. Some do not have a sensitivity adjustment, some do.
Can anyone verify that the Mark 5x pro has one?

There IS an adjustment to change the images and they suggest you use the arjes instead of the fish icons.. Go in to the pages, menu and it will eventually take you to the setup mode.

Yes, when I bought mine I went down to my local hardware store and purchased a 10" hose clamp, with a very minor adjustment with a pair of pliers it mounts to bottom of the troweling motor, pay attention to the instructions of which way the transducer points. There is also a mounting bracket available for about $80.00. The hoseclamp works just a well thou.

Yes, the transducer to this unit can be put on a trolling motor. You just need to make sure you have all the necessary clamps and zip ties or whatever you will use to tie it on

I am using my unit on the trolling motor now.. I already had the adaptor to connect the skimmer transducer of my X96 that I replaved. It is the EXACT same transducer I had so the was NO PROBLEM using the new trandsucer on the trolling motor. I wanted to exchange for a puck type transducer but did NOT want to wait for exchange turnaround so I used the skimmer.

If the transducer is mounted properly yes. the bottom of the transducer should be mounted just a little lower than the bottom of the boat so it doesn't cavatate. It should skim the water when on plain.
