Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke first time used The trolling motor mount was a simple clean installation. The plastic broke off at the hose clamp slot on one side the first time I had it in the water. The plastic is too brittle and needs to be more durable/flexible to stand up to bumping bottom or stumps which happens when fishing structure. March 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy! Simple affordable answer for the HDI transducer on the trolling motor. Picked it up about 6 months ago with no issues. Much more low profile and durable than the old "puck" style transducers on the trolling motor and a lot cheaper than other transducer savers. I have really banged it around on trees and rocks so far so good... January 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap product I mounted this product and it went on great and is a clean installation, only problem is the plastic broke in two trips to the lake. The plastic is not thick enough and even when you tighten down the clamp it bends the plastic. It's not strong enough for long term use. August 31, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not for 83/200 & 455/800 Transducer Be advised that this shield will NOT fit the 83/200 & 455/800 kHz transducer ( Lowrance p/n 000-0978-001) that is for the elite combo units. It only fits the 83/200 kHz transducer. The combo transducer is larger. June 24, 2013

It would appear from the directions that you mount on the TM 180 degrees from how you would mount a regular transducer. Seriously, seems like they are telling me to mount it backwards with the horizontal plane of the ducer facing away from the prop. Help!?
