Rated 2 out of 5Â by Ballbearing1969 too much clutter
when I operate the Elite 7 HDI with factory defaults, my screen is full of clutter, on a crystal clear lake in 30 ft of water, it looks like a snow storm on the screen. I can turn down the sensitivity, but the videos I have seen all say it should be left on automatic.
this unit is too complicated. it should work right out of the box with a viewable screen. you should not have to play around with all of these adjustments.
the owners manual is pitiful, they should at least have a cd to give instructions on what all of these features are, and how to set it properly.

Bought the Elite 7 hdi first time I took it out I was more than happy with its performance. Screen is excellent and clear. Love the ability to have to customize your screen and the layout. Marking waypoints is fast and easy. Just a great overall product for the price! would recommend to anyone looking for a new depth finder.

This unit has NEMA 2000, will it share the transducer sonar information with another unit at the same time? I am looking for a unit to place at the helm with another unit on the bow. Shared transducer information is needed because dual transducers will cause interference.Details:Â
Will this unit give a "dashboard" of input from my engine, fuel lever, fuel fow, etc NMEA sensors? Discription only lists sonar xducers.Answers

The difference between the $799.99 and the $699.99 is the transducer included with the unit. The unit for $799.99 includes the 50/200 + 455/800 HDI transducer. The 50/200 kHz frequency is better suited for saltwater anglers.
The unit for $699.99 includes the 83/200 + 455/800 HDI transducer. The 83/200 kHz frequency is better suited for freshwater anglers.
