The Lowrance Elite-5 HDI Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo features Hybrid Dual Imaging and a high-resolution 5" color display. The Elite 5 combines a Broadband Sounder, which is built into the HDI Skimmer® transducer design for marking fish arches and tracking lure action, and DownScan Imaging, which delivers easy-to-understand, picture-like views of structure and bottom detail. Lowrance's Automatic Signal Processing allows you to see more clearly while reducing the need to manually adjust settings. Easily scroll back through the sonar history to review and zoom-in for a closer look with the Elite-5's Trackback feature. Also included is a highly accurate, built-in GPS antenna, for reliable navigation that's easy to use, plus a detailed U.S. map with more than 3,000 lakes and rivers, as well as coastal contours to 1,000'. You can even create your own map from real sonar data that you record with Insight Genesis™ by uploading sonar logs to Lowrance's online map creation service.

A microSD card slot can be used to display Lake Insight™ and Nautic Insight™ HD and PRO cartography, as well as Navionics® Gold, HotMaps® Premium, Fishing Hot Spots® PRO and Jeppesen® C-Map® Max-N Wide charts.

Exclusive technology overlays DownScan Imaging onto the Broadband Sounder display for a stunning view that separates and clearly exposes fish targets from surrounding structure. An easier-to-use menu system allows quick access to all features using one-thumb operation. Choose from as many as 8 preset page layouts, including up to 3-panels in split-screen mode to view chart, Broadband Sounder, and DownScan Imaging—all on one screen simultaneously. This multi-window feature can be accessed while viewing live sonar and charting. One year manufacturer's warranty. Supported by Lowrance Advantage Service.

Have had 3 different models over the years..never a problem...Sio get new boat ..well new to me and it needed a fishfinder and gps..looked at all models out there and for the money it was worth the try of a different brand..Installed it about march , ran the susky flats for a month, the lowere cheasepeke...no problem...I take off july 4 th week well 3 days into trip it goes.. I get startup screen but nothing else .,wont go to gps or fishfinder..just opening screen.. my luck , sending back to Lowrance hoping for quick return, we shall see.. think I should have stuck with Garmin.. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great unit so far I had the Elite 5 HDI (i.e., with GPS) installed on my 24' pontoon. I was told I would need to buy the LakePro v14 software, but found out later that it was included with the unit (a plus). I have only used it for two days so far (only reason I gave it 4 stars is lack of experience with the product), but the unit functions flawlessly. The LakePro software is nice as well, although there are no lakes with high res chart data in my state (Kentucky). Operation is fairly intuitive, which is good, because the operators manual is less than stellar ( for example, there were no instructions for the Lake Pro v14 software). You will need a RAM Mount (an extra $50) for tight spaces. I was also a little disappointed in the labor charge for installation by the local Tracker Marine ($200). May 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good unit Good unit for the money, great customer service if you have questions regarding installation or use of unit. March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The $$$ Dollar Plunge I was very reluctant to spend this much for a fish finder but in the end glad I did. Not much Information out there about this one because its so new. Every time I went to buy it the sales people would talk me out of it. I finally figured that I knew more than them. It gives you everything you need and more for finding fish. This unit is very simple to navigate through the menus and settings. That was a big plus for me. Switching between screen scenes could never be easier. 1 button. This unit has over 3000 lakes built into it and the GPS located my exact location within a minute of turning it on for the first time. February 4, 2014

Hi, thank you for your question. The unit case size is 5.4” H x 6.9” W; 5.9” H with bracket. According to the manufacturer web site, the PPP-18I Pack works with Elite-5, Elite-5X, Mark-4, Mark-4X, X-4, & X-4 Pro.
DSI models are not compatible, and HDI models require Uniplug Connector Kit (000-10052-001).
