Rated 3 out of 5 by Saltydon Good product Poor enginering
The design on this fishfinder leads me to believe that the designer never owned a boat. The power cable is only about three foot long. I needed to run the cable from my mid-boat console to the rear of the boat where the batteries are. There is no extention mentioned that was needed. The power cord needs a one amp fuse to connect directly to the battery and it is not included or mentioned that it is not included.I have to cut a one inch hole in the console to thread the wires to the unit. There is no gasket or retainer to keep the wires from falling into the console. And the hole is now a water leak into the console. I use the device for limited information and it does seem to work well for what I use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JustinSane Great unit for the money
Im a new boat owner but have been fishing all my life, so I have been around these but never owned one. Other than vague installation and setup instructions, this unit has been great. The plastic nut that holds the cable connector to the back of the unit is probably the weakest point of the whole unit. I dont like that design at all and it is a nuisance EVERY time I hook it up. SO far my fishing depths have been from 1 foot to 35 so I dont have any deep water experience. However, at 25 mph, it does an excellent job of picking up the bottom structure with no gaps or blank screens. The shallow water alarm works as intended but is not all that loud for OLD ears like mine! The screen resolution is excellent for being so small and it will show fish and bait and attempt to quantify them for you. I like it a alot and couldnt be happier!

Unable to hook the transducer wire into the port in the back of the fishfinder. I had two other friends over to try and do it and they were unable also. The plastic nut on the wire that goes onto the fish finder would not seat. Unit sent back to Basspro.

Very happy with this unit. Deliveres clear accurate images and is easy to use.
Only quirk has been that the unit sometimes goes haywire in depths over 150'. Otherwise, no complaints.
