Very happy with this unit. Deliveres clear accurate images and is easy to use.
Only quirk has been that the unit sometimes goes haywire in depths over 150'. Otherwise, no complaints.

Used this depth finder on Santee Cooper 1/10/12. The clarity is awesom. No glare like older models. easy to read. I am really pleased I bought it.

I purchased this product and it works wonderfully. The chart and split screen are both great. I use it in the Guntersville Lake where they is a lot of structure and terrain change and it locates suspended fish well. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product. It was very easy to install although it could have come with a little longer cable.

Is there an extesion cable?Answers
A:
I had to purchase extra cable at the local hardware store and mount it that way but it all depends upon where you locate it and how far it is to the back of your boat.A:
The transducer cable is 20 ft. If needed, you can purchase an extension cable directly from Lowrance.Answers

No. It pictures them in stll life.A:
Fish outside the detection angle will not be detected. "Lowrance sonar units have very sensitive receivers and can detect return echoes from fish, structure or the bottom out to 60° or more. This means that the fish detection angle is 60° even though the cone angle is only 20°." Additional information is available on the Sonar Tutorial on Lowrance's Web site.Details:
I have a Sea Eagle Kayak, it's inflatable. Does anyone have any ideas for mounting the transducer?Answers
A:
The transom mount transducer that comes with this unit would need to be mounted/screwed into your boat. I would recommend looking for a portable fishfinder that includes a suction cup mount and could be removed from the inflatable kayak. ThanksQ:

The transducer is located on the outside of the boat and on the rear so you would have to drill a hole large enough for the cable to fit through and then seal it good with silicon or some type of sealant.A:
Yes, you can use the standard skimmer transducer for this purpose.Answers

try a heavy duty magnetAnswers

The transducer that is included can be used with a trolling motor if you purchase the trolling motor bracket. The bracket can be located using item number 38-578-372-00.Answers
A:
It comes with a bracket so it would screw onto the outside rear portion of the boat.A:
The same way you mount a transom mount. However, If you have a flat-bottomed aluminum boat, some additional adjustment may be needed to accommodate the rivets on the bottom of the boat (i.e. the gap may need to be a little smaller than 1/8"). This will help you to avoid excessive turbulence at high speeds.Instructions: http://www.lowrance.com/upload/Lowr...
