High Quality - But Stiff Without modification these are really stiff, and difficult to achieve a quicker pace in without creating alot of noisy surface turbulence. A little surgery on the side stiffeners however, and a little heat and manipulation to create a downward angle to the fin, and they are great. I especially appreciate the snug and secure fit, while still being easy to get in and out of. August 9, 2012
Save Your Money If you are in the market for a pair of kickers, save your money and buy a better quality pair. Although these work, there are some quality issues I did not personally care for. The description states that its designed to go directly over the wading boot. I had some issues fitting my boots into these without having to really manipulate and sometimes remove the laces. When you finally get them on, they do not feel very solid in the water, and they feel like they are going to come off. If you purchase these, I would recommend hooking them up to a leash. Wader Killers I got a pair of these and they are not so great in quality but they do work. The picture being used to sell them is a tad misleading. You do not get the shoe string style ties. You get these wide rough nylon straps with plastic buckles that wear away the rubber that "is" your boot. If the plastic buckles are tight, they tend to dig into the boot as well eventually leading to a hole. The plastic that wraps around the sides of the boot will slowly rub your boot until it rips open. And the plastic that wraps the ankle...it has a little square plastic nipple (probably from the machine that made it) on it that cuts into the ankle side of your boots. Definitely not worth the purchase. June 18, 2011
Practically worthless I have to agree with the first poster. These fins are horrible. I had a brand new pair that came with a float tube combo and the first time I used them, I stumbled coming out of the water and one of them ripped 3/4 of the way across the fin right above the toe. Fortunately, I wasn't in the middle of the river, but having them rip that easily on the first time I ever used them made me extremely disappointed with the product. I took them back and paid extra to upgrade to the Turbo Thruster Kickers and am much happier now with them. September 28, 2009
