Loon Outdoors™ Payette Floatant™ 1 5 1 1
Loon Paste Floatant The paste did not work at all for me in the circumstances and way I'll describe. I was using it to try to help high float a 7 foot furled fluorocarbon leader in salt water, casting along the shoreline, on an #8 line (Wulff BTT Fl). I put it on light, heavy, didn't matter. It caused an increase in the spray when lifting the line out of the water for casting, and I noted no difference in the floating ability. It may add additional protection to your leaders and flies from chemicals or pollutants in the water and increase their longevity, but there isn't any advertising or claims made by the company indicating this. I also don't know if it;s for use in salt also, which is where I used it. August 1, 2011
