the side that has groves are not deep enough. when cooking anything, the juices overflow. It is also very difficult and time consuming to clean. no matter how seasoned, or heated, it is almost impossible to remove the food. The flat side is ok. but same thing again, the depth is not deep enough to hold any overflow juices. ( 2 hamburgers of 90 ground beef overflowed)

This griddle is awesome, it makes perfect bacon, perfect pancakes, perfect french toast, perfect....... well you get the idea. Holds the heat well and cleans easily. I am thowing away all of my old cookware and switching to Lodge cast iron. The best part of all, it is MADE IN THE USA!!!

Those work the best with gas ranges. Induction and Glass top just won't get the griddles hot enough to do any god cooking on them!!
