I use my lodge 6qt enamel dutch oven for everything from chili, beef stew, pulled pork, to baked mac & cheese. It is very easy to clean after and makes a great presentation dish for parties.

I spend an excessive amount of time in the back country canoe tripping and although I loathe the weight, I hump a small cast iron dutch oven with me everywhere I paddle. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE COOKING WITH CAST IRON! Now I get to look fancy at home with Lodge Color. I have a blue puppy from when they first were introduced and I adore it so much that I had to get a red one. One will not go wrong with this purchase. My younger daughter tried to steal mine when she moved into her own place but I nabbed my blue pup at the border.

I'm a "foodie" and cook a lot.. While the LeCreuset is popular among gastonomes, is is painfully expensive. I got this pot to make artisan bread and it is fantastic. I use is for a lot of other things.
This is a very heavy, well-made pot for a very good price, and according to America's Test Kitchen, compares very favorably with LeCreuset. This is a winner!!!
