It holds a large stew or chilli with room to spare. No more over boiling for us. Really great that it came preseasoned. we find it gives great even heat. June 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by theAnointer High-Quality, American Iron Simply the best product from legendary Lodge. American steel, and will last well beyond your grandchildren's lifetime if properly used. NEVER heat empty or heat water in this oven, NEVER NEVER use soap near this oven. Simply rinse & wipe it clean, warm it and wipe it dry with a towel oiled with cooking oil. Store in a wooden crate or just on the shelf. One of mine is a hand-me-down from the 40's and looks identical to my new one bought in December. The only slight distinction is the handle is a little bent and the outside is a little 'blacker'? Makes a mean Guinness Stew and Blackberry Cobbler, not to mention Lemon Rosemary Chicken, Almond Trout, pizza, .... February 23, 2011
