Lodge dutch oven are a blast to cook with. I just completed teaching an outdoors cooking class and everyone loved cooking with the dutch. With practice, you can make anything. I would recommend them to anybody because they are a blast to use, a must have for any camping trip

This is an excellent dutch oven and a great size to cook for 5-6 family members. Always buy one with legs that elevate it above the bottom coals. I have used one for years with a Boy Scout troop. The rule is 24 coals. 14 evenly spaced on top and 10 evenly spaced underneath. Re-season after every use, put away dry and store in a large brown paper bag. Mine has never rusted.

The Lodge 12 " Dutch Oven is the "Standard" oven of all dutch oven chefs. It is great for a small group main dish or a larger group side dish or desert. It is a quality piece of equipment that will last forever with proper care. They also have other sizes.

I have used this dutch oven for years now camping. It has stood up to the beating my local boyscout troop puts it through. We probably have 10 of these, and they all work great. Def. a good buy.
