This is the best setup for an ATV tie down. It makes securing the ATV quick and easy. Also will lock your ramps in place when you are in the field.

I purchased this for my wife to haul her Grizzly. She hates trying to back up a trailer. Real easy for her to load and secure the 4 wheeler, plus you can stick the hitch through the ramps and lock them in the back of the truck and not worry about them getting stolen while you are out enjoying a ride.

No more worries... I have an F-150 and my ATV won't fit with the gate up. After the initial setup it's quicker than tie downs. I wish I thought of it first.

I had to get new cables due to a recall when I bought my truckAnswers

Yes sir we can make you a custom sized coupler arm, but if the guard dog is properly adjusted the upright arm actually supports the entire weight of the ATV- you could actually remove your tailgate and the ATV would stay in the same position. That's another wonderful advantage of the guard dog. The upright arm supports the weight of the entire ATV and not the tailgate so you should have no worries about replacing anymore tailgate cables. if u have any more questions/concerns I'll be happy to email u with all the answers! and trust me I know all this because I am the guy who makes them- thanks again for your purchase!!Details:Â
WE BOUGHT THE UNIT AND REALLY LIKE IT, EXCEPT FOR HAVING TO TAKE IT COMPLETELY OFF THE TRUCK FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING. IS THIS NORMAL OR ARE WE MISSING SOMETHING?Answers

I pull the coupler tube out. then I have another device which is merely a round JACK POST welded to a small piece of 2" square tube in the middle, this inserts in the coupler tube hole and then i use 2" x8" scaffold planks with 2 muffler clamps attached at one end, bottom side, they slide on from either side and your ramps cant kick out!!! works very well, and the guard dog stays in your hitch.A:Â
By turning the vertical stem it is adjustable up or down with the set screw. Detach from your bike, lower stem, unload bike, close tailgate (optional), raise stem . tighten set screw, and drive off with unit still attached.A:Â
I contacted the manufacturer they stated to unload, all you have to do is take the pin out of the upright tube and loosen the slip handle. Unlatch the trailer coupler where it attaches to the machine and pull the upright assembly out of the base. You can leave the tube in the truck hitch and the tube coupler in most cases.Details:Â
