She figured it out instantly and also swims to the load a pup platform to rest. I replaced the straps with velcro straps to attach to our ladder. Mattie thanks you for this, now I can swim too! Rated 3 out of 5 by fixer Works Ok Will not work on a folding ladder. Purchased a straight ladder and it is better but still not really stable. Our dog is learning how to use it but we still have to help with the stability while she tries to get into the boat after getting on the platform. August 3, 2010

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dogger Good idea, but limited fit options. This platform is a great idea and will work perfectly IF it fits perfectly on your boat ladder. Unfortunately, it has no upward/downward adjutment capability and only limited horizontal adjustment. For my dog, it sat either too low in the water or too high. I will try to jury-rig something to attach differently to the boat and try again. July 8, 2010

Rated 3 out of 5 by Joeknows Load a Pup Overall the product was good, but when I actually had it in my hands, and a examination of the product, I did not care for the cheap hardware. I removed the steel hardware and went to a hardware store and brought stainless steel replacements. For a total of a buck fifty, I upgraded the load a pup for durability. I fit perfectly on my boarding ladder and my chocolate lab knew how to load onto the boat herself. But I would recommend to others to go out and buy the stainless steel hardware. Just so nothing will rust, and it will last longer. June 28, 2010
