Would have been a 5
Bought three boxes to try out in my 870 shur-shot slug gun. I have been trying to squeeze a little tighter group and was not quite happy with what I was getting with copper solids. Still a good round, but wanted to know if I could do better. Fired 5 at 50 and after making adjustments, ended up blowing out the X ring. Was very very happy. Decided to fire a couple more and opened another box. Fired and missed the whole target????? Second shot, 7 inches to the right???? Third and fourth were on opposite ends of the whole target??? Cleaned my barrel and streaks and chunks of lead were coming out on patches. Looked at the last round and saw no fall away sabot around the slug. Lightfield must have loaded this box without checking. Very happy for the great groups, but Not happy for losing $16. I will be buying them again, but checking each round in the box, first.

Only slugs i will spend my moeny on
I shoot these slugs out of a Remington 870 12 gauge with a Hastings Paradox rifled barrel and let me tell ya, when these slugs hit a deer they go down. I can shoot a 2 inch group at 100 yards and have no hesitations shooting 150 plus with them. I have never encountered any accuracy or knock down issues with Lightfields. I can tell you from experience though, shoot them out of a rifled barrel to get the most out of them.

Good slugs that hold together when they hit. The challenge with them is their accuracy is not as good as newer slug designs. I used these slugs for 5 years about 8 years ago and they have the same design even though winchester, remington, and hornady have come out with better slugs.
They do the job if you are close but I never shot anything over 100 with these although I shoot 150yds now with the other brands.
