My son has went through several play guns from retailers so I thought it would be best to invest in a gun from Bass Pro that is made of sturdy products. I am impressed with this gun which is made of metal and wood. The disappointment came when we discovered it wasn't a cap gun. We were sort of mislead because we searched for cap guns and this gun appeared in the search. We like the gun, but he still longs for one that shoots caps and makes real gun sounds.

The lever action toy rifle I purchased for my son was a hit. He loves it! It is durable and fairly authentic looking. Reminded me of my first lever action toy rifle. The gun is made of rugged metal and real wood and the lever action is smooth and easy. If my 5 year old hasn't broken it yet that's a testament to it's durability.

We looked at several toy rifles for our grandson's birthday. With the wood stock and steel barrel Bass Pro's was the most durable one we could find. Our grandson loved it and it should last him for a long time.
