This is by far the best scope I've ever used! A buddy of mine has had this scope on a Browning X-Bolt for a while and before I used his setup I didn't really understand the difference in scopes and the clarity of what higher quality scopes provide. The difference is literally night and day. Even though this is a pricey scope, the lifetime warranty for the Leupold Gold Ring series is comforting and personally insuring it has given me the comfort to take this cope into the roughest terrain, up the craziest climber stands, and anywhere else I need to go for the perfect shot. I would recommend this scope to anyone that is serious about buying the last scope they'll ever need.

High Dollar Classic
I just bought one of these from the Leupold Custom Shop for a .338 Lapua. I was told to invest in better glass, and that Leo's are not the top dog anymore. There are a WIDE range of options and prices on these things. I have to say that I like the lower profile the best, and the personalized bullet compensation. Very clear optic, and has not moved a BIT with the heavy recoil of the 338 Lapua. I just wish I has the $$ for more of these. This is one scope you will be very satisfied with as far as performance. Prices are still VERY high and that is the only drawback.

I have several Leupold scopes and this is the brightest. I like the lit reticle. Unlike my Springfield Armory scope the lit reticle is small and unobtrusive. My only complaint is the catalogue listing does not specify tube size which may lead you to believe it is 1". Not so! It is 30 mm.

I've had this scope for three seasons now and have made shots from 50-300 yards with pinpoint accuracy and reliability with each one, both at the range and in the field. This is an incredible scope and you will not be disappointed! It will certainly meet (and probably exceed) your expectations and what you're looking for with your question.
Get the Leupold low rings. The cut out in the front is specifically designed for low mounting as close to the barrel as possible and provides the large scope performance in a smaller scope package. You won't be disappointed.
