This scope is a great value for the money. I purchased the 3-9x - 50mm. I only have two complaints, first 9x is not enough power for most uses over 200 yards, and second the adjustments are not precise enough for longer range use. For a short range scope, under 300 yards, this scope is perfect and a great value for the money.

For under $250, best scope ever. Optics are fantastic and I bore sighted quick and easily. Fine sighted on range with no issues and repeatability of shot was perfect. I mounted on a Ruger 77/22 and had just the perfect clearance on the eyepiece with the 2 X 7 33mm. using the Ruger standard rings. The scope fits nice and tight to the gun and looks fantastic. This is the perfect scope for a 22 LR looking for high accuracy at 50 to 75 yards. Bear in mind this is a bare bones scope, but high quality device.

Sighted the scope (3 x 9 x 40) in yesterday on a Remington 799 bolt action in 7.62 x 39. The sight picture is clearer than any scope I have had before. I had a detached retina several years back, so I don't shoot as good as I used to, but even so, I shot about a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards with this combination. I like the adjustments, and I like the way it looks on the gun. I have tried other scopes in the $200-250 price range, and I think the VX1 is the best. Haven't had it long enough to attest to durability, but I have no concerns.

Outstanding value. The new VX-1 series is feature packed and every bit the scope my older Vari-X III is, with the added benefit of finger adjustable turrets. Clarity is outstanding, and adjustments are spot on. Leupold shows once again that they listen to their customers, and why their users are so loyal.
