I bought a Leupold standard mount base for my Remington 7600 "it is an older one built in the 1950s". The problem is only 2 of the holes will match up either the front or the back but not at the same time. Understand you usually get 2 in the front and 1 in the back put lock tight on and your good to go. The holes are between an 1/8 -1/4 inch off. So this mount is useless to me for this weapon. Now I need to take my old weaver mount and go to the store and match the holes of a new base so I know I am getting the right one.

This mount is very good and strong. It is bit hard to put on the first time but is well woth the trouble

This design has been around a long time and really well. I use this style base on all my high recoil firearms and have never had them fail. This base allows for rapid windage adjustment and is rock solid.

I have used Leupold bases and rings on all of my rifles and they have never failed me. I own 11 rifles that range from .22 Caliber up to 300 Win Mag. Once they have been set in place they have never moved and my scopes performance has never been effected. If you want a quality mount you don't have to worry about these mounts failing.
