Tip the odds in your favor on the hunt with the Leupold RX-1000i with DNA® and TBR® Rangefinder. A powerful rangefinder that delivers accurate distance measurements up to 1,000 yards in .1 yard increments, the RX-1000i provides incredible speed and accuracy thanks to Leupold's lightning-fast Digitally eNhanced Accuracy. Optimized for most popular rifles, the RX-1000i's True Ballistic Range® technology calculates incline angle, line-of-sight range, and projectile ballistics (compatible with mil-based reticles) for true distance readings on angled shots. When matched to your rifle's ballistics, TBR technology gives you the true ballistics range to the target shown as a holdover point, an MOA adjustment, or the equivalent horizontal distance. Multicoated lens system, OLED display and fold down rubber eyecups provide a superior view to traditional rangefinders, giving you confidence in early morning or late evening low-light conditions. Easy-to-use rangefinder also features a Quick Set Menu®, Scan Mode, clicking Fast-Focus eyepiece, and more. Comes with belt case, carry strap, CR2 battery, and rugged Cordura® nylon case. Weight.: 7.8 oz. Dimensions: 3.8"x2.8"x1.3".

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Range Finder! Purchased this after researching numerous brands. Accurate thus far during turkey season. Looking forward to deer and Elk hunts. Great feeling in buying American business product! May 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not worth the $ As far as technology goes I am very pleased. My issue is that any time that it is cold out or moisture in the air it fogs up instantly and in my opinion for $400 this should not happen. December 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good rangefinder Purchased this rangefinder for bow hunting and rifle hunting. Lenses fog up very easily and may need to be treated by anti-fogging cleaner. Seems durable and no moisture noted inside unit. Durability of unit is slightly questionable, but appears solid? TBR functions are very limited and not worth the extra cost! External ballistics are more of a concern, so save the money and purchase a portable wind/weather meter! OLED display is still almost too bright with lowest setting. Carry case is poor quality and wish there were more aftermarket cases available. Over Priced about $200!!! December 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thumbs Up!! Is compact and does what I bought it for. Very happy I did not spend more on anything else! November 6, 2013

I am not worried about TBR, I can calculate that with a known distance and my loads. I also hunt bow and am curious how well it measures on angles.

Bow/Gun difference?

Details:
Does this rangefinder have different settings to measure differently for bow vs. gun? If not, why do they advertise the different ranges for bow and then gun?

A:
Yes it does have different settings to measure between the two. The rifle setting measures yards/meters with +/- 1 accuracy but with the bow setting the measurements are presented even more accurately up to a certain yardage with 0.1 +/- increments so on bow mode you will see that the target is for example 23.7 yards away.
