Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great range finder This range finder works great. I was a little worried about spending $400 on a range finder but it is well worth it. The red LED was the selling point for me it is really easy to read unlike most of the other rangefinders. It also doubles as a decent set of binos out to about 250 yrds, plenty of power to spot out that far. September 5, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Decent Range Finder The RX-1000i/TBR range finder is just that. It is a good range finder with clear optics, small and light weight. The TBR ballistic feature, however, just does not work. Hold over in inches, Mil data and MOA data do not even mathematically compute. DO NOT RELY ON BALLISTIC RANGE! For instance, MIL dot at 100 yds is about 3.6" and MOA is about 1". Readings with the TBR at 365 yards show DROP at 12", MILs at 22.5 and MOA at 1.3 with a 300 yd zero and group "b" round. Not only is the data not close, it is not mathematically correct.. Save you $50 an acquire the non-TBR version or buy a Bushnell ARC series for the non-TBR price! June 18, 2011

I am not worried about TBR, I can calculate that with a known distance and my loads. I also hunt bow and am curious how well it measures on angles.

Bow/Gun difference?

Details:
Does this rangefinder have different settings to measure differently for bow vs. gun? If not, why do they advertise the different ranges for bow and then gun?

Answer this Question

Answers

A:
Yes it does have different settings to measure between the two. The rifle setting measures yards/meters with +/- 1 accuracy but with the bow setting the measurements are presented even more accurately up to a certain yardage with 0.1 +/- increments so on bow mode you will see that the target is for example 23.7 yards away.

A:
Has rifle mode and bow mode. Very accurate.
