  • 3-sided hook point
  • Surgically sharpened
  • Ultra-clean, cold-forged, high-carbon steel
  • Low-profile barb
  • Bolstered wire diameter
  • Tailored tempering process

Turn more bites into hook-ups with the penetrating power of the world’s one and only surgically sharpened hook! Tested and proven by tournament pros—including 2009 Bassmaster Classic® Champion Skeet Reese—these hooks consistently pierce a fish’s lip with half the force of any other hook. The secret is in the tailored tempering process, which turns the cold-forged high-carbon steel into a deadly weapon with a computer-sharpened 3-sided hook point and just the right amount of flexibility. The bolstered forged wire diameter adds strength to the shank, and the low-profile barb delivers ultimate holding power. Ringed eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by very sharp i use these hooks whenever i fish plastic worms, they work great for texas and carolina rigging. i have noticed my hook up ratio improve dramatically when i started using trokar. December 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by #1 Texpose Rig hook in my box I love using these hooks for texas/texpose rigging. They are super sharp, durable, and get amazing hook-sets. I hardly ever use any weight when texas rigging most worms unless I'm trying to get super deep, and these hooks compliment that factor greatly. I have rigged everything from YUM Dingers and Tubes to Crawdads and Salamanders with these. I'm not normally a soft plastics fisherman, and when I am its usually a Swim jig with a Trailer. But if I need to go finesse, this is what I use. Great hooks! September 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great quality I have been a Mustad hook guy for years. I had read several reviews on them and was impressed. The price Kinda scared me away some. I got these magworm 4/0 from a free give away from the company. I will give anything a fair go around so I have been using them extensively for the last few weeks. First thing I noticed was the packaging. These are very well packaged as to not have each hook grinding against each other. That was a big plus. Knowing that I am going to be dropping about 1.50 per hook and it will be as sharp as when it left the factory is a plus. The black chrome color on the hooks was really cool. Lets face it, we are like kids. We love shiny objects. Trokar says this helps prevent against corrosion on fresh and salt water. This was a big plus for me. Last thing I want is a rusty hook that's strength is compromised while fighting a fish. All 5 hooks were extremely sharp and well made. Did not find any imperfections at all. I really liked the staggered points on the hook. I use broadheads with a similar point that are great for penetrating skin and bone. I have caught several 2-3 pound bass and one 12 pound snapping turtle with these hooks. All fish and snapper were hooked very well with complete penetration. Overall I am very satisfied with these hooks. The price is very high compared to others but the quality is definitely top notch. August 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Hook I just started using these hooks and I'm very impressed. It doesn't take a whole lot of pressure to set the hook with these bad boys. These are the only hooks I will be using from now on. Caught this fish with these hooks the first time I used them. Try em out! June 15, 2012

Besides being used for big bass in heavy cover, would these hooks, particularly the 6/0 and 7/0 sizes, be good to use for soft plastics on pike and muskie?

Definitely, I mainly use them for Texpose rigging my senkos or YUM Dingers, but I have used them to rig everything from soft plastic minnows to 10" Powerworms for Pike. I add a 4-6" steel leader and then fish em'. Fun way to fish for these huge fish that not alot of fishermen utilize. Tight lines.
