Like the Lake Fork Baby Creature I have not been impressed with this bait at all the tail doesn’t have as much action as I thought it would have being a jointed tail although it does have more action than most other plastic shad type baits, I just don’t seem to catch fish on them as well as I do on the Yum Houdini Shad, another of Lake Fork Trophy Lures that is not for me

This swimbait has produced mutiple largemouth bass for me. It seems they just love the way it runs in the water. I have noticed when the bass are really biting this bait was brought me in 4 and 5 pounders here in Georgia. I love this bait and it is always in my tacklebox. The fish you catch are worth the price.

I might get one of these but I dont know what size hook to use.Answers
A:Â
3/0 or 4/0 it has to be shy of the tail and you need a belly weight for ballast or they helicopter thru the water.A:Â
I use a number 4 or 5 the bait is pretty thick and the bigger the hook the better when rigging texas rig.A:Â
If you get the 3.5", which I recommend, the Gamakatsu 1/16th, 3/0 size hook fits like it was made for it. If you get the 4.5", the 5/0 size works well.A:Â
5/0 for the 4.5"A:Â
Buy em! I rig it on the 1/4 oz scrounger head the most. But if your in grass use the lake fork hooks. The 3.5 uses a 3/0 the 4.5 uses a 5/0 the 5.5 uses a 7/0 and the giant 8 uses a 10/0. Hope this helpsA:Â
Hi,, I use the owner twist lock swimbait hooks in 3/0 and an eight of an oz weight. These are for the 3.5" and for the 4.5" use the 4/0 size hook. you cant fish these wrong.. Use bait casting or spinning.A:Â
dependant on the size you get, I like a 5/0 swimming jig head.A:Â
It depends on which size bait you are talking about and what species you are targeting. I use 3/0 or 5/0 weighted swimbait hooks, mostly 5/0 because I fish primarily for largemouth... and as their name implies they can easily take a 5/0 wide gap hook. If you want to fish for multiple species, use the 3/0.A:Â
1/0 and extra wide gap is good.A:Â
i like to use either a 3/0 or 4/0Details:Â
do u rig it with gamakstu swim bait hook or weighted worm hookAnswers
A:Â

The Gamakatsu swimbait hooks fit these just perfectly. I only use the 3.5" with the 3/0, and the 4.5" with the 5/0 hook. The lighter the weight, the better, as it gives it time to fall.A:Â
rig on 3/4 oz football jig fo 20-30 ft deep fishingA:Â
I used a swim bait hook.A:Â
if your around grass i recommend the lake fork swimbait hooks. If your out in the open put this little baby on a 1/4 oz scrounger head.A:Â
Hi i use owner twist locks in 3/0 1/16h oz for the 3.5" and 4/0 for the 4/5" I am going after walleye next... and i hope to get into some Wipers..A:Â
i fished it weightless on the bank...if you fish it deep it would be better to use a swimbait hook swo that it falls evenly instead of nose droppingA:Â
The Lake Fork swimbait hooks seem to work best for me... and no, I don't work for them!!A:Â
i have used both and had great success with bothAnswers
A:Â
They don't in the package. But a swimbait hook that has a bottom mounted weight is the absolute BEST to use with this lure. The Gamakatsu swim bait hooks are the best to use with this lure. Just pick your size.A:Â
No they don't and you need a belly weight to keel them properly.A:Â
They do not come with hooks, or with fish catching action IMHOTop 1000 Contributor
A:Â
noA:Â
No, you will need to get the Gamakatsu swimbait hooks to go with them. Size and weight depend upon the bait size. 3.5" go best with the 3/0, 1/16th oz., while the 4.5" go great with the 5/0.A:Â
mo ri it on 3/4 oz football jig for deep water actionA:Â
no but Lake Fork makes an wesome hook for itA:Â
some of them do but I don't like them so I always by just the lures and buy my own jig head hooks.A:Â
You can buy them already rigged in single packs, but it comes with what is basically a large jig head hook. They seem to perform a little better with weighted swimbait hooks.Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
certain ones do. ive bought packs of 1 before they come pre rigged, or you can buy a pack of five shads, and go to the hook section and lake fork made a hook weighted at the bottom of the hook made just for the magic shad.1 of 1
