This is not a completely awful bait, as it initiates as much or more action as any other lizard I've used...the issue is that the jointed tail is very weak, and breaks off on every short strike. You can fly through a bag of these if the bass aren't super aggressive. To that extent I've probably missed a few because they short strike and take off without taking the whole lure.
I suppose that if you double hooked it, you'd have better luck, but I'm too lazy to put a trailing hook on when I use soft plastics.

this lizard will always be my go to bait in post spawn or deep water situations. the action makes this the perfect bait when the bite requires a very slow presentation. the 6 inch will hold the 3mm glass rattle and the 9 inch will allow the 4mm rattle to be fished effedtively. strong garlic/good color/durable and fishes slow perfection

Man I like this bait. I use it tx. rigged, dragging slow across the bottom. I think its to limber for a carolina rig. I CAUGHT THE BIGGER FISH ALL WEEK END. I think it is too expensive. Its kinda like the name brand Senkos, not cheep but you buy them because they work.

How effective would a carolina rig setup be if there were two lizards rigged about 16"-18" apart?

it in theory would be great .these are madde ina very odd way. if you're going to do the double lizard,my advice owuld be to use normal Zoom lizards or Powerbait. anyway, good luck with that idea, sounds pretty effective, especially for smallmouth.1 of 1
