I have used the boot tail for several weeks now on the Alabama Rig and as a standard swim bait. I used the Pearl and Albino shad as a single bait around grass and caught all the fish I could handle. I use the Pearl in the center of the Alabama rig. I've caught big fish all fall on this bait, including an eight pound large mouth. The action on the tail is awesome the fish really go after that bait. You can rig up on any type of standard swim bait hook. I prefer a 5/0-6/0 when I'm using just A single bait. You can reel it as fast as you want, jerk it, or slow it down and the tail really creates an attraction. The bait does all the work, just get it in the water and you'll see for yourself!!!!

Great Swimbait and worth the price!!
This bait was fantastic!! I ordered two packs of the magic shad color, and when I recieved them started fishing with them immediatley. I caught 3 fish on my first 5 casts with one. One of these fish was a monster 6 pounder. They are very durable, i like to texas rig these, with no weight. They are amazing! buy them !!!!!!

Perfect for swim jig
For fishing a weightless Texas rig I prefer the regular magic shad, but for a swim jig the boot tail is far better. I pair the 4.5 inch with the Strike King Squadron Jigs and a silicone skirt. The boot tail has enough kick that in addition to it's own movement it also overpowers the jig head and causes it so sway from side to side giving it a very lifelike action. When I'm specifically targeting big fish, this is the swimbait I rig up.
